Tribute to School Year 2010-2011
Summer vacation's last bell has sounded, no doubt about it, and if you're anything like me, this is an annual fact of life that never fails to leave you scratching your head in wonder. Where did the summer go? Did it melt away with your sunscreen as you enjoyed some rays? Could it have taken five while you were busy at a scorching summer practice? Maybe it slipped away during one of those precious sleep-ins...Although the details might be a bit fuzzy, there aren't enough shooting star wishes or homework passes in the Universe to get those sunshine-filled weeks back. Summer break's departure is set in stone, which means school is back in royal blue and gold, amplified by the blaring, middle school reality of bustling hallways and early-morning wake up calls. Sixth graders are exhilarated by the new classes, new feel of freedom, and ultimately new school experience. The seventh graders slap high fives as they grin in a satisfaction that accompanies movin' on up (not to mention the relief of not being the youngest anymore), and eighth graders cruise the halls with seasoned confidence, anticipating the days of their final middle school year to be the very best yet. Classes are back in session, lockers are back to their stickin' and slammin', friends are hanging in the halls, athletes are ready to snatch up the victory they have perspired for all summer long, and the Piedmont Wildcats are reunited. The school year has started with a roar, so my fellow Cats, Wildcat Wall challenges you to make the very best of it. Work hard, play fair, show some wildcat pride. Say hello to a new face and lend a helping hand. Glow in a different hue as you scope out a new club or activity-you never know where you will shine! Feed your brain and express yourself in ways you never ventured before. Most of all, strive to be Y-O-U, and be a Wildcat. We will do whatever it takes to make this year the greatest MSP has seen.
This is a new innovative site created by students for the use of students at Piedmont middle school. Wich allows students to view the latest events at their school.
